Position Summary
The newly-formed Fund Development team at TCW coordinates and oversees the firm’s proprietary fund event process, including the project and workflow management of fund launches and other types of fund events. The role owns the fund event process and will ensure fund transitions are successful and risks are managed proactively. The role requires someone who works effectively cross-functionally, from the beginning of a transition event to the end. The incumbent will have responsibilities in areas of internal governance, fund legal documentation, account and vendor setup, and funding. The incumbent will also work on projects that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk for the new product/product line.
Essential Duties

• Complete other ad hoc projects as assigned
• Research requests for information on the business, operational, and legal/regulatory issues relating to fund products
• Lead the fund and class launch effort by working with product sponsors (client services and portfolio management), approval committees, legal counsel, and fund service providers
• Assist in crafting product policy by researching/advising on implications of decisions, both in the funds’ domiciles and cross-border
• Understand and advise on efficient jurisdictional domicile and regulatory regime for new fund products based on client/investment requirements
• Monitor and evaluate existing product viability
• Improve and update tools and controls designed to support new product development

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in fund administration, preferably in developing, launching, or coordinating pooled funds
• Track record of automating business processes utilizing workflow automation, business intelligence, machine learning or other productivity tools
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration or Economics
• Experience with global fund types, including 40 Act, ETFs, CITs, UCITS, and private vehicles

Desired Qualifications

• CFA Charterholder preferred

Estimated Compensation
Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $150k - $175k. This is an anticipated range only.
Other Compensation: Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
