Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Business Development will help build CENTR’s consumer and commercial business from the ground up as well as help amplify the brand through brand partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for pipeline strategy, execution, and ongoing performance including developing and executing key partnerships. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating deep in the weeds and is equally capable of being a strategist and thought leader.
- Experience in sourcing and closing deals in a timely manner.
- Experience in strategy development and go-to-market execution.
- The successful candidate will be based in Los Angeles, California.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and partner with product and content teams to execute business strategy.
- 10+ years of business development and strategy experience.
- Digital-first, Physical Products and results-driven mindset.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working with the CEO to refine and focus the GTM and overarching Business Strategy that informs the business development strategy.
- Conduct outreach, lead negotiations, and nurture relationships with partners, including performing financial analyses and coordinating terms including, but not limited to expanded consumer reach, B2B partnerships, consumer products, door count expansion, co-marketing, amongst others.
- Partner with Finance, Product, Sales and Marketing on LTV/CAC and product bundling modeling, pricing and promotions strategy, and GTM plan to launch new products and services regardless of channel.
- Strategize with complementary brands to drive sales with shared partners.
- Define and execute a multi-year impactful global partnership pipeline across various industries, including but not limited to technology, sporting goods, marketplaces, fitness, and wellness and healthcare.
- Partner with Legal to execute contracts in line with finalized term sheets.
- Coordinate sales strategy with DTC to collectively grow the CENTR membership base.
- Create and iterate on multi-year sales forecasts with FP&A.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Willingness to travel to partners and trade shows.
- Brings a mix of a data driven and operational mindset to the table.
- Passion for fitness, wellness, health & technology.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
- Has a strong rolodex of target brands, partners and retailers with ability to quickly find the most influential contacts within desired partners.
- Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and be an individual contributor Day 1.
- 10+ years of business development and strategy experience.
- International experience is a plus.
- Excitement to test, learn & iterate in a fast-paced environment.
