Job Description


RMI is seeking a Generalist to support our talent programs! This role will support the retention and growth of RMIers as they progress in their careers. Join us!

Your Impact


The Generalist for Talent Programs will join the People Experience Team to support talent programs including performance management, early career programming, intern programming, as well as supporting other initiatives that promote a culture of professional growth and performance.


The Generalist will lead the early career and intern workstreams and support the performance management, promotion, and feedback processes in alignment with RMI’s talent strategy.


The Generalist is an individual contributor who will report to the Senior Director of People Experience.


This role works closely with the Senior Manager for Talent and Performance Management, the Talent Acquisition and People Operations teams, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders to deliver success.


Major Roles And Responsibilities


  • Support the internal staffing process by collecting and analyzing data, creating SOPs, and creating communication and resources for leaders and employees to successfully navigate the process, working closely with People Operations and People Partners.
  • Develop and deliver internship programming and conversion processes, in close collaboration with the Learning and Development team, and Talent Acquisition team.
  • Serve as project lead for innovative and developing People Experience initiatives as assigned.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Manager for Talent and Performance Management, support talent management processes, including processes and resources for performance. management, promotion, coaching, succession planning, retention, and professional growth.
  • Administer alumni communications and programming in service of RMI’s talent strategy.
  • Develop and deliver early career cohort programming and reporting, in close collaboration with Program leaders and Learning and Development.


Core Skills And Experiences


  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and build relationships at all levels
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion
  • Champion of inclusion and equity; skilled navigator of differences
  • 5 years of experience in a business function using project management, communication, process design, analytic, and stakeholder collaboration skills; direct HR experience desirable
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong orientation to employee experience

  • Experience supporting a mission-driven organization
  • Experience planning and delivering HR projects
  • Experience with a global workforce

Location


We are a remote-ready organization with team members around the globe. Our beautiful and welcoming offices are available for meetings or focused work, whether you are traveling through or living nearby. Our U.S. offices are in New York City; Washington DC; Oakland, California; Boulder, Colorado; and Basalt, Colorado. This role can be located from anywhere in the continental United States.


We provide you with the essential IT equipment plus a one-time home technology payment and a monthly work from home/commuter allowance to ensure you have a comfortable home office set up and necessary supplies.


We love seeing each other in person! We occasionally gather for shared time together like retreats and learning experiences. Be ready to travel for occasional in-person meetings (and of course, we cover travel costs). Some roles may require more travel, which will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation    


RMI compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role has a minimum to mid salary range of $68,977 to $83,609. You would also have an additional 5% bonus target!
