Our client, one of the largest quick-service restaurant operators in the United States with over 15k employees and 1000+ locations across 20+ States, is hiring for the position of Director, Talent Management.
This role will be responsible for designing and implementing best-practice talent management programs and initiatives focused on learning & development, workforce planning & engagement, talent identification, succession planning, and performance management.
The Director of Talent Management, reporting to the Head of Human Resources, will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align talent management strategies with business objectives and drive a culture of excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting to internal business leaders on best practices in talent management.
- Establish and maintain a meaningful talent metrics dashboard to assess performance and show alignment of strategies to business needs and outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive succession planning programs to identify high-potential employees and prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand talent needs and develop workforce planning strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Implement talent assessment processes and tools to evaluate the effectiveness of succession planning initiatives.
- Develop approach to identify key roles, nurturing top talent to support organizational growth and performance.
- Collaborate with Head of HR on employee engagement plan for the company; assist to develop employee engagement strategies that capture the ongoing pulse of employees using various methods, including engagement surveys.
- Lead and direct the development and implementation of programs that evaluate, measure, enhance and improve employee performance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess talent readiness and create targeted development plans to fill critical leadership gaps.
- Communicate with senior management on strategy and tactics for the ongoing training needs of the organization.
- Develop strategies that align individual, team, and leadership goals with organizational needs and business priorities to drive a culture of high performance.
- Define roles and job functions of trainers.
- Direct activities of the training team to successfully accomplish training objectives.
- Identify skill gaps in training and tactics to deliver training programs and content effectively and efficiently.
- Provide direction and oversight of corporate learning and development strategy and execution.
- Establish criteria for measuring the performance results of training functions.
- Participate in the development of strategic initiatives as a part of the HR leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Highly knowledgeable with demonstrated success within the areas of instructional design, training methodology, and learning management systems (LMS).
- Highly skilled in organizing and implementing a variety of large-scale projects/programs.
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques.
- Highly skilled utilizing Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with team members and external vendors.
- Ability to learn and create innovative new solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to successfully partner with multiple stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- 10+ years of progressive experience within the field of Human Resources required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, or a related field required.
- Experience within the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry is highly desirable.
- Experience within a retail, high-volume, high-turnover setting a plus.
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills.
