The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for creating and facilitating a professional development for schools based on the schools' and teachers' individual needs. Additionally, this role will be responsible for new teacher induction for schools that are assigned; both the implementation and analysis of the outcomes.

  • Set goal for classroom specific to academics, growth and retention
  • Assess effectiveness of school-based trainings and presents the results to stakeholders
  • Prepare Face to Face (F2F) and virtual professional development opportunities for each school within assigned region
  • Partner with the hiring manager to ensure that positions are filled
  • Communicate with all new teacher hires that are assigned
  • Manage collaborative space where new teachers will share best practices, participate in discussions, participate in problems of practice
  • Build communities and participates in committees
  • Collaborate with local/regional/national teams regarding instruction, resources, interventions and data-driven decision making
  • Coordinate with school leaders to develop a professional development needs analysis and plan
  • Create opportunities for new teachers to job shadow experienced teachers from the same subject area/ grade level
  • Ensure new teachers are receiving weekly support from a variety of sources
  • Design and execute regional face to face New Teacher Training Induction, both at school launch and as needed for mid-year hires
  • Provide opportunities for teachers within specific subjects/grade bands the opportunity to connect across regions
  • Report on teacher performance and progress
  • Host live trainings with teachers illustrating the virtual classroom tools and how to effectively engage their students


Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.


Minimum Required Qualifications


  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) years of related experience in talent development, educational training or related position OR
  • Bachelor's degree in education or similar field of study AND


Other Required Qualifications


  • Microsoft Office 365; Web proficiency.
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Understanding of effective training methodologies and a true passion for working with adult learners
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
