THE ROLE
The Learning & Development Specialist will lead the development and delivery of learning programs to support a multi-year investment in our digital transformation journey as we modernize both front office and back-office business applications. The new enterprise systems will drive improved business processes for clients, candidates, and our internal workforce. Elements of this role include partnering with facilitators, updating, and creating learning materials, and managing all logistics as needed. This position will also contribute to the development and enhancement of global learning programs through content development and instructional design initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a great communicator and facilitator that is comfortable prioritizing work, developing learning content, and leading learning activities for a growing 350-person global professional services firm.
Work will be conducted in a remote or hybrid environment. The L&D Specialist role is part of WittKieffer's Corporate IT team and reports to the Program Manager.
This position offers a base salary of $85,000 to $135,000, plus a 10% target bonus. Salary within our ranges is determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Design:
- Design eLearning content for new courses for delivery in Workday Learning (LMS) in response to business needs. In partnership with HR, identify learning technologies to achieve the firm’s business objectives and learning goals.
- Work with HR L&D to integrate learning content into the firm's overall course curriculum and learning assignments.
- Own and update content on the Learning space of firm's intranet.
- Develop instructional materials incorporating video and other technologies.
- Research and assess technical and soft skill training needs to establish objectives and to design curriculum to meet the business needs.
- Partner with Corporate IT Team on upcoming rollouts to determine best L&D strategy and training to support change.
- Collaborate with team members to review and edit content.
- Structure course content and develop course outlines and objectives consistent with adult learning theory.
- Manage program design projects by creating detailed project plans (including scope, audience, content, schedule, etc.).
- Collect and analyze feedback related to training sessions. Use data to provide recommendations on next steps and improvements.
- Design programs that incorporate several learning strategies. These may include guided facilitation, short lecture, group discussion, and experiential exercises, etc.
Content Development:
- Create and maintain training agendas, manuals, and templates.
- Develop handouts, job aids, and other training documents.
- Research and develop content, materials, and resources for all learning initiatives.
Change Management & Communications:
- Collaborate across teams and departments to develop and execute change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies, mitigating any potential resistance or challenges.
- Lead change management activities to integrate user learning into all aspects to increase adoption and achievement of business objectives tied to technology.
- Develop communications regarding system and process changes by collaborating with cross-functional teams and partnering with Internal Communications Leader.
Requirements
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications:
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience administering an LMS (Workday Learning experience preferred).
- Experience assisting in organizational change management during digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience using various training delivery methods including Zoom, Teams, etc.
- 1-3 years of Salesforce experience, working with standard and custom objects, including reports.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- 5-8 years of learning and development experience, including content creation, and multi-modal learning creation for both in person and virtual.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories, skills, and tools.
Critical Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Creative and open to applying new learning approaches, technologies, and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including facilitation and presentation.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision.
