Job Description

National Health Foundation is looking for a resourceful and dynamic Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist to join our team as we continue to support an expanding organization. This position is responsible for elevating National Health Foundation's presence in the communities of Los Angeles and Ventura Co. They will be overseeing the process of acquiring new team members that fit the vision and mission of the organization, sharing our passion for health equity, social justice and learning. You will be responsible for the recruiting and onboarding of new staff members using best and innovative HR practices. You will be a part of a growing People and Culture team.
Pertinent Information
Position is Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm. This is a onsite position, with WFH on Fridays. Pay is $48,000 - $58,000/year. This is an hourly, non-exempt employee reporting to the Director of People and Culture.
What does success look like in this position:
Talent Acquisitions
  • Manage the candidate experience and ensure a positive experience throughout the talent acquisition cycle.
  • Coordinate and conduct in-person interviews and evaluate candidates based on skills, experience, and cultural fit with leaders of the organization.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed for Talent Acquisition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates and establish a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
  • Attend job fairs or recruiting events as needed to support growth of the organization.
  • Make hiring recommendations to hiring managers and liaise between the organization and candidates on job offers with selected candidates.
  • Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews to identify qualified candidates.
  • Source potential candidates through online job boards, social media, employee referrals, and other creative sourcing methods
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with hiring leaders to understand their hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
Onboarding
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed for onboarding.
  • Creating onboarding schedule for new hires, collaborating with leaders to ensure they have a robust and informative onboarding experience.
  • Creating and editing introductory videos to the organization.
  • Making yourself available to new hires to answer any questions prior to starting their time at NHF. Preparing them for their first 30 days and what to expect.
  • Performing all administrative functions of onboarding, including but not limited to, ADP enrollment, system registration, training enrollment. Monitoring completion of all required trainings per position.
Other Tasks
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Act as back up for payroll processing as needed.
Requirements
What you will need to bring in to the organization to be successful?
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Bilingual in a 2nd language that is most utilized in Los Angeles and Ventura Co., but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, and/or onboarding
  • Associates Degree required
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification a plus, but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
