The Talent Acquisition Manager - Legal is responsible for executing the full cycle recruiting of top tier talent in the legal field for Jackson Lewis. This is an Individual contributor role. This individual will partner with internal stakeholders to define strategic objectives around hiring needs and identify solutions with a heightened sense of urgency. Must be able to effectively analyze hiring needs, determines best recruiting methods, and then efficiently execute recruiting strategies. Should demonstrate the ability to build and maintain a comprehensive candidate pipeline that addresses current and future needs. Serves as subject matter expert on market trends, target industries, and roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain a network of industry contacts through participation in professional/trade associations and other professional networking organizations.
  • Effectively partner with internal stakeholders to define strategic objectives and meeting hiring needs.
  • Analyze hiring needs, determines best recruiting methods, and creates/deploys recruiting strategies.
  • Design & develop strategic sourcing and recruiting practices which support the hiring of top tier legal talent, diversity, and inclusiveness.
  • Build and maintains relationships with both passive and active candidates.
  • Provide guidance and facilitates the negotiation process through completion.
  • Build and maintains subject matter expertise on target industries, competitors and roles.
  • Conduct thorough screenings and competency-based evaluations of relevant talent to ensure qualification match, cultural fit and overall compatibility with Jackson Lewis organization and team.
  • Stay abreast of leading industry trends and recruiting best practices.
  • Manage job postings in various systems.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of talent acquisition experience identifying candidates to meet business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, resume databases, internet sourcing tools and social media recruiting.
  • Adept at social media and Boolean searches; ability to effectively network via technology.
  • Corporate experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience recruiting in a law firm setting strongly preferred.
  • Strategic thinker able to design innovative, differentiating strategies to attract highly qualified candidates and market brand opportunities.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent post- secondary degree is a plus.
For California, the expected salary range for this position is between $145,000 and $170,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
