Job Description

Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country’s top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.


The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Talent Acquisition Partner team to help provide a world class experience to both our candidates and hiring teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be comfortable with fast paced environments. This role will coordinate for open positions within our San Diego office, and will work closely with our exceptional Talent Acquisition Partners.


Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Sets up openings in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and on our careers page as needed
  • Communicates promptly with candidates throughout the hiring process to provide updates on rejections, next steps, and scheduling, ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Work with hiring teams to manage phone screens and coordinate logistics for on-site and virtual interviews, maximizing candidate experience and paying extreme attention to detail
  • Support talent-related projects across tool selection/implementation, reporting, branding, marketing, event calendar management, event planning/setup, and potentially social media as needed
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition Partners on best practices to support the team using GEM
  • Manages candidate flow into and within the ATS, and ensures that the team stays informed about candidate progress


Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and customer service skills.
  • Minimum one (1) + years of experience in Talent Acquisition in a fast-paced and complex Talent Acquisition environment
  • Clear & concise communicator
  • Proficiency with Talent Acquisition tools (Greenhouse is strongly preferred, and GEM is a plus!)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with google office products
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and time-management. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates simultaneously.


Perks and Benefits:

This is a hybrid full-time position based at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. The full salary range for this position is 60K - 70K, with a 4% year-end bonus. Some benefits of the position include:
