This role is focused on the development, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of a scalable Training Program for all areas in operations (Service Fulfillment, Quality, Supply Inventory, Maintenance, and Safety).
The associate will act as a business partner to Operations including partnering with Division management, Enabling Functions leaders, and front-line technicians in the functional areas providing support / assistance and advice on SOP development and implementation. This role works closely with these teams to continuously identify and implement scalable opportunities for process improvement and training improvements.
This role will need to conduct on-going needs analysis to identify skill and resource gaps within the Operations team as well as evaluate effectiveness of existing training and development programs to then consult leadership on recommended initiatives.
As a Sr. Learning Program Manager, your essential job functions will include the following:
- Proactively seek, evaluate, select, negotiate with, and manage vendor relationships for the design and/or delivery of learning solutions.
- Plan and track budget and impact of managed programs.
- As the lead for the managed programs, deliver train the trainer sessions for other facilitators as necessary to ensure the program is delivered with the right level of quality and effectiveness while achieving learning objectives; updates and maintains training manuals, and other training materials to maintain accuracy and professional presentation.
- Partner with Talent team to leverage and deploy curriculum as part of custom programs, as well as influence content and approach for future offerings.
- Oversee and manage logistical arrangements such as registration, classroom and materials.
- Serve as the primary facilitator for assigned programs and coordinate with facilitation team and other business groups to leverage subject matter experts where needed in the programs.
- Lead learning solutions architecture design and content planning.
- Lead the design, development, implementation and evaluation of assigned complex and broadly scoped learning and development programs using multiple delivery methods including instructor-led, virtual classroom, performance support tools and blended instruction consistent with adult learning theory.
Partner with Customers and People Department
- Partner with business leaders and the People department to integrate Talent Management functions to achieve business needs that are geared toward the development of employees.
- Coach and mentor employees across the company on individual, educational and professional development objectives.
- Develop overall learning strategy for assigned department(s) and/or learning programs based on business goals and priorities.
- Effectively partner with business leaders to accurately conduct ongoing needs assessment mapped to prioritized areas of work, continually improve managed programs, and propose future programs.
Facilitation
- Deliver training sessions/workshops/team interventions consistent with adult learning theory including lectures, group activities, discussions, case studies, role-plays, simulations, and other experiential activities.
- Demonstrate mastery of effective facilitation to engage participants and drive individual and team effectiveness.
Curriculum and Knowledge Management for Assigned Customers
- Develop and implement change management plans, including communication and marketing strategies, communications to program participants, their managers, and key stakeholders to support effectiveness of program and clear communication of program impact.
Learning Analytics
- Design evaluation metrics to track, report, and consult against their managed program(s).
- Improve current evaluation metrics to include Kirkpatrick’s Level 3-5 on own programs; influence evaluation improvements on other programs.
- Leverage metrics to enhance the quality and effectiveness of learning courses and programs.
Develop and Maintain Learning and Development Industry Expertise
- Establish and maintain connection with professional organizations and industry resources.
- Maintain familiarity with current learning and performance improvement industry standards, approaches, and innovations.
- Readily apply key learnings to advance the offerings for the Talent team.
Other Duties as Assigned
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in of learning and development, including curriculum management, facilitating training for both instructor-led and virtual instructor-led delivery mediums and designing and developing instructional materials across all delivery mediums (instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, asynchronous e-learning, performance support tools). Experience in program management and/or high-performance experience relevant to assigned customer groups’ business accepted in combination with learning and development experience to meet full experience requirement.
- Able to work independently as well as a member of high-performance teams in a project driven environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of detail and project management skills.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, production, manufacturing, or workflow consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Instructional Design, Organizational Development or other equivalent curriculum focusing on learning. Master’s degree or CPLP certification preferred. Experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree or certification.

Physical Job Requirements
- Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
