REMOTE Workday Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Workday Business Analyst to take on a lead role or become a key team member in Workday projects and initiatives. As a Workday BA, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, defining and documenting business processes and requirements. This position requires a highly detailed and self-motivated individual, driven by results and possessing exceptional communication skills. You'll tackle complex business problems, providing configuration solutions while managing multiple fast-paced projects and critical operational issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Develop and execute end-user verification test plans and facilitate testing sessions.
• Contribute to refining internal best practices to deliver high-quality services meeting our team’s needs.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and design activities for Workday projects.
• Uphold Company Vision and Guiding Principles.
• Identify opportunities for business process improvements and offer recommendations as needed.
• Support and manage operations-related initiatives identified by the Workday platform owner.
• Diagnose problems related to daily transactional or operational processes, implement effective solutions promptly.
• Participate in technical design sessions to ensure alignment between business requirements and designed solutions.
• Work with the Training & Support team to create documentation and training for end-users regarding new or modified business processes.
• Perform quality assurance, systems testing, and user acceptance activities.
• Define, document, and maintain business processes, requirements, and policies, continually seeking ways to enhance processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Workday operations team to understand and prioritize requests.
• Assist in prioritizing enhancements on the overall roadmap by handling intake requests.

Required Experience:

• Strong background and experience in finance operations and/or working with purchasing, accounts payable, suppliers, expenses, and budgets is desirable.
• Proficient in a range of elicitation techniques to gather business and system requirements.
• Bachelor's degree and relevant business process analysis and/or business analyst training and experience.
• 10+ years' experience in a business analyst role or performing business analysis functions.
• At least 2 years of functional Workday experience.
• Preferred experience in a higher education environment.
• Mandatory experience with the Workday platform, and familiarity with other administrative business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of and experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies are advantageous.
• Preferred: Advanced degree and/or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification.
• Familiarity with various workflow/documentation techniques (e.g., Swim Lane diagrams) and the ability to apply the best method for each assignment/project.
