Patient Service Representative - Remote | Wfh

We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Access Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for answering and processing a high volume of calls in a dedicated call center while providing exceptional customer service to patients.
As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need. You will utilize our phone scripts and guidelines to triage calls and determine the appropriate provider and urgency needed. Additionally, you will schedule appointments using our centralized scheduling system, verify and update patients' demographic information, and obtain necessary referrals for scheduled visits.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a great communicator, and who has experience working with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office. You should also have experience working in a call center or providing telephone customer service.
Please note that training for this position will be in person in our office for 2-3 months before remote work would begin.
If you have a high school diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred) and 1-3 years of related work experience, we encourage you to apply. Additionally, if you have strong typing skills (40+wpm), knowledge of medical terminology, and bilingual written and verbal communication skills, you will be a great fit for our team.
