Job Summary
You'll oversee program administration and student artistic development. In this pivotal role, you'll connect students, faculty, partner advocates, and program management, facilitating clear communication and coordinated implementation to the Boston Program Director, you'll contribute significantly to nurturing the growth of our young artists.
Responsibilities
Develop an intimate understanding of Boston's young artists, addressing their aspirations, challenges, and identities as musicians.
Create and oversee Personalized Learning Plans for each student, ensuring their progress requirements are met.
Provide continuous support and guidance through bi-weekly meetings with students and families.
Collaborate with faculty to address individual student needs and learning goals.
Maintain organized records of student progress while ensuring confidentiality.
Liaise with assigned faculty for monthly student progress reviews.
Track attendance, deadlines, practice hours, and lesson times.
Support activities, fostering a cohesive experience for participants.
Facilitate meetings with the Steering Committee.
Coordinate workshops, masterclasses, and performances.
Establish mentorship opportunities with industry professionals.
Manage program calendar, including scheduling and logistics.
Disseminate program-related information to stakeholders.
Develop strategies to enhance program efficiency.
Collaborate with Admissions to recruit diverse talents.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in music performance preferred.
Prior teaching or administrative experience in education or arts.
Deep understanding of equity challenges and cultural competence.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Effective problem-solving and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Spanish or French Creole is a plus.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office and database management.
Willingness to work nights and weekends for events.
