Are you ready to embark on a journey of impactful discoveries and revolutionary cancer research? Join our dynamic team at a renowned institute that's dedicated to making strides in cancer treatment and patient care. At Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, our mission is to conquer cancer, HIV/AIDS, and related diseases, while fostering an inclusive and equitable environment. We're seeking a passionate Research Assistant I to contribute to groundbreaking studies, both for pediatric and adult patient populations. This role offers you the chance to collaborate with dedicated clinicians, researchers, and partners from Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals, all in pursuit of a common goal: transforming lives through innovative research and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
As a Research Assistant I in the Division of Population Sciences, you'll play a vital role in advancing cancer research. Your journey will involve:
Delving into medical record reviews, tracking patient care trajectories, and assessing outcomes post-diagnosis.
Engaging with study participants through interviews, surveys, and remote interactions.
Recruiting patients for clinical and socio-behavioral research studies, fostering meaningful contributions.
Managing study databases and project documentation with precision and organization.
Collaborating with a diverse team of Research Assistants, Project Managers, clinicians, and researchers to drive project success.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who brings both passion and qualifications to the table:
A Bachelor's degree in public health, natural or social science, or pre-med, with a strong preference for prior experience in public health or health policy.
A genuine interest in patient-centered outcomes, public health, and cancer-related research.
Excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, motivation, and a hunger for learning new skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and a flair for effective communication.
Ability to connect with diverse individuals, from patients to healthcare professionals, both in person and over the phone.
Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Join Our Cause
At Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, we're more than an organization; we're a community fueled by dedication, innovation, and care. We're committed to fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and included. If you're driven by the desire to make a lasting impact and embrace diversity, we invite you to be part of our team.
Application
Ready to join us in the fight against cancer? Apply now and be part of a transformative journey that knows no boundaries.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and welcome applicants from all walks of life, without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity or expression, national origin, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability, age, ancestry, military service, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
