Role Overview:
As the National Fleet Manager, you will take the reins of a vehicle fleet, leading a team of fleet supervisors, overseeing repairs, and driving collaboration with a new Fleet Management company. Your strategic vision and hands-on approach will be instrumental in shaping the future of fleet operations. This is a confidential leadership role with high-impact responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
● Lead and manage a team of fleet supervisors, ensuring seamless fleet operations across the nation.
● Provide escalation approvals for vehicle repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely and
efficient resolution.
● Serve as the primary point of contact with the new Fleet Management company, fostering a collaborative and productive partnership.
● Develop and implement a comprehensive repair schedule for vehicles, optimizing maintenance efficiency and minimizing downtime.
● Strategically onboard and manage vendor relationships across the country for fleet management services.
● Take charge of maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring top-notch service delivery.
● Play a pivotal role in the ambitious expansion of the fleet, scaling up from 3,000 to 7,000 cars within the next year.
● Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the alignment of fleet management with overall business goals.
● Implement best practices and innovative strategies to enhance fleet performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience in fleet management, with a track record of managing large vehicle fleets.
● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results and lead by example.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at building relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
● Strategic mindset with the ability to handle complex operational challenges and drive change.
● Proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations.
● Technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
● Ability to handle confidential information and make informed decisions.
● Must have the capacity to manage the growth of the fleet from 3,000 to 7,000 cars in the next year.
● Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
● Must be able to work in a hybrid role in the following cities (Plano TX, Phoenix AZ, Houston TX, Atlanta GA, Miami FL, Orlando FL, and Las Vegas NV); remote work is not available for this position.
