Assists Area manager in all activities of regular associates and temporary workers within the distribution center. Assesses production schedules and man-hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Interprets company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence. Enforces safety regulations. Evaluates and assesses production methods, performances and efficiency for improvements and/or changes. Prepares associate performance evaluations and assists in the administration of reviews. Determines time and production needs and maintains records.
Must have a "can-do", "make-it-happen" attitude. This is demonstrated by displaying the ability to use perseverance and initiative in order to ensure top performance, quality and service to our stores. Responsible for developing and maintaining an open, engaging environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages all administrative tasks and functions for responsible area
- Attends and helps plan any special events planned for his/her team.
- Supervise 10-40 hourly associates of varying classifications.
- Manages hourly team in the distribution center to ensure timely and accurate processing and distribution of merchandise to stores.
- Responsible for creating an effective team culture which recognizes individual and team performance, while maintaining associate morale in a demanding work environment
- Works on special projects as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Ability to train associates.
- Inventory control experience.
- Ability to relay policy and procedure changes to associates.
- Ability to motivate team.

- Strong written and verbal communication and organization skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Minimum of a High School diploma.
- Familiarity with the following technical equipment: radio frequency and bar code scanners.
- B.A in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- 2 Years

- Ability to occasionally sit for extended periods of time while working at computer terminal, conducting meetings, or counseling, interviewing, or training associates.
- Exceptional attendance with flexible work hours as needed.
- Ability to operate a computer terminal, as well as grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening, hearing, speaking, and visual acuity.
- Vision occurs continuously in the process of interaction with associates.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of interacting with associates.
- Ability to perform work task as the associates.
- Ability to regularly stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout a large warehouse and physically inspect the facility, observe associate behavior and communicate clearly and coherently with associates for training, evaluation and problem solving purposes.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, squat, stretch, crawl, or climb stairs in order to inspect merchandise and physical facilities.
- Vision specific requirements--close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
