National Account Manager
Home based ---- MUST BE LOCATED NEAR A MAJOR U.S. AIRPORT
Looking for someone with experience selling industrial capital equipment into manufacturing accounts or someone who has sold in the packaging industry. Must have experience cold calling and developing new business.

Our client is a global leader within the packaging industry and designs and manufactures equipment utilized to identify products, trace products, and protect company brands from counterfeiting. As a leading manufacturer of labeling, coding, and marking equipment, their products are utilized for printing logos, bar codes, lot codes, expiration dates, QR codes, etc. on consumer goods packaging.

The Role
As an National Account Manager (full-time/permanent position), you are the front line of customer interaction by identifying customers’ needs and offering equipment solutions that address unique manufacturing applications/requirements. With advanced product and sales training, you will drive revenue and customer retention in assigned key accounts. In this entrepreneurial role, you operate from home (remote) and commute to some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies. Everyday will be a new adventure as customers include a wide variety of industries including: food, beverage, pharmaceutical, health and beauty, building products, automotive, etc. In this role, you will align product strengths and capabilities to maximize customers’ print quality, uptime, and efficiencies.
- Promote the value of coding and marking products and services to the customers within the assigned group of key accounts with the goal of improving sales revenue growth and market penetration.
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships, based on value, that will enable customer retention.
- Understand Companies' value proposition and customer needs as well as business levels that impact value to prepare and successfully negotiate contracts with positive outcomes.
- Prioritize opportunities for equipment sales growth and the specific actions required to capture them.
- Improving sales efficiency and effectiveness through the rigorous use of sales tools such as "sales funnels" and "return on investment-based selling"
- Develop and share customer and market trends and competitive intelligence with counterparts (marketing, research, technical service, customer service, supply chain, etc.) to promote increased market knowledge and capitalize on potential opportunities to increase revenue and/or profitability.
- Responsibility for conducting revenue generating activities including business development (cold calling), product demonstration/presentations, generating quotes, etc.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in outside sales selling industrial capital equipment into manufacturing facilities. Experience selling packaging equipment or industrial automation solutions a plus.
- Exposure to value selling, ROI selling, or strategic selling desirable.
- Willingness to acquire new customers by cold calling, networking, social media campaigns, etc.
- Ability to utilize effective time and territory strategies
- Being able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, from front line operators to senior management.
- Experience with product demonstrations
Compensation/Benefits
- All travel expenses covered
- Generous paid holidays and personal time off
- 1st year target earnings 180-220k
- Base salary plus commissions on both the equipment and the consumables.
