Job Description

JOB TITLE: National Account Manager, Kohl’s & JCPenney

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO TITLE: Vice President of Sales

HOURS: FT Position



The National Account Manager at Lenox will report to the VP of Sales and play an integral role in driving world class account management initiatives by working closely with retailer merchants in collaboration with Lenox corporate teams (demand planning, product development, sourcing, customer service and finance) to meet sales & profit, distribution, and digital goals.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


· Strive for superior account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals. Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement.

· Capacity to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager” of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve goals at your accounts.

· Manage customer profitability, working closely with internal teams to develop proposals for new items, and effectively manage investments to drive your business.

· Critical decision making, based on financial analysis of multiple scenarios to drive profitable growth, often diving into the details and understanding what comprises & drives contribution margin $ and %.

· Own the forecasting of your accounts to ensure we hit our monthly budgets/targets.

· Drive the overall account strategy and will own the outcome for customer meetings, leveraging internal support areas.

· Own and support managing omni-channel and dot com business initiatives (including drop ship) for key categories partnering with internal and external business partners.

· Execution focused; mindful of key milestones and a demonstrated ability to create and adhere to a schedule to ensure success.

· Lead the reporting for POS, trends, and other factors impacting the business.

· Gathering and communicating competitive factors/insights impacting the business (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Strong business acumen and must be financially savvy, complimented by effective oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of how to drive sales at both large and regional retailers. Highly preferred sales experience working with Kohl’s, JCPenney or other department stores.
  • Determined sales or merchant leader with strategic vision, execution focused, track record of overcoming obstacles, and team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 8+ years of national and/or regional account sales management or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and get things done in a fast and ever-changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills to gather and analyze large sets of data both internally and externally, coupled with strong negotiation skills working with both national and regional retailers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to build and maintain effective relationships both customer facing and cross-functionally with internal partners.
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
