Job Description
Summary You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (HR DEVELOPMENT) in the Workforce Development Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will accompany experienced training specialists to engage with organizational management and subject-matter-experts to help assess workforce skill gaps and critical training needs in order to meet mission and command initiatives. You will research potential instruction/curriculum to satisfy developmental requirements and prepare requests for proposal (with oversight). You will execute contracting within technical authority and oversees administrative and logistical aspects of training events for own and other team members events. You will assist in evaluating training based on various feedback vehicles and apply the results for improvement and adaptive learning. You will become well-versed on training policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and determine their effect on program needs. You will help manage budget in areas of responsibility to insure that funds are allocated appropriately. You will utilize various online tools and systems for event/budget management, registration, and training records. You will take on increasingly complex training events and developmental program assignments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (GS 1-4 OR DA-01), one year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Human Resources Specialist (HR Development). Experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Assisting others by gathering information on regulations, policies, and operating instructions; 2) Helping others gather data from multiple sources; and 3) Utilizing a variety of office automation software to assist others.
