Job Description
As a Human Resources Manager with Road Runner Sports you will have the opportunity to lead and direct the day to day function of HR supporting our our leaders and Team Members companywide on employee relations issues and inspire and drive engagement and teamwork throughout the organization. You will develop your direct reports and assist in building a pool of talent to support the HR department. Look forward to providing strategic input and guidance on compensation packages and benefits programs and plans. Become the hub of HR system management maintaining and capitalizing on current systems and make ongoing recommendations for process improvements and when optimal upgrades and replacements.


  • You will have ownership of the compensation program, including annual wage analysis, periodic individual salary review and incentive program development and consultation.
  • You are responsible for overseeing the data integrity and recordkeeping to expedite retrieval, reporting and analysis of accurate and timely information and to ensure compliance with legal requirement.
  • You will support the organization and its leaders in coaching, and counseling Team Members. Conducting investigations when necessary and making recommendations for action to be taken based on your findings.
  • You will conduct annual review of benefits, explore new benefit options and make recommendations to the Dir or HR. Coordinate the annual benefits review with the benefits specialist and broker.
  • You will need to keep current on HRIS developments in the HR field and make recommendations for new and more compatible technologies.
  • You’ll have ownership of and leverage the utilization of the HR systems including, payroll, benefits, and performance management. Contributing to HR’s ability to effectively and efficiently collect, retrieve, report and analyze employee data as well as provide a foundation to deliver quality, timely, and accurate information and customer service to internal customers.
  • You will be a leader within the department responsible for directing, overseeing, and supporting the functions of Employee Relations, Payroll and Benefits.
  • You will manage and refine the company benefits program, and partner with the VP of HR to ensure ongoing compliance with the ACA. Research and present recommendations for alternatives that will contribute cost savings to the Company.
  • You will be an ambassador for our fun positive work environment and will be a leader in the council that fosters teamwork and recognition on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of internal managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Advanced ability with Excel, Word skills and HRIS applications. Must be able to foster and maintain an atmosphere of open and positive communication and work effectively with all levels of employees, including executive management.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, plus five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
