Job Summary
Executive Development & Compensation reports directly to the President & CEO, and is responsible for matters pertaining to development and compensation for Corporate, Executive & General Management level employees. The remit of the organization includes advisory services to Corporate and Executive Management in all matters related to the Board of Directors of This Company Affiliates (wholly-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and stakes in publicly-listed companies), particularly on compliance with board governance standards and board effectiveness. Employees provide guidance to Management and advice on how to improve the performance of the board of directors and function under very limited direction and supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Work with executive management to establish and maintain effective relationships between the board and management.
- Stay current on developments in corporate governance and advise executive management on their implications for the company
- Develop and implement board assessment and evaluation processes
- Advise executive management on all matters of board governance and board effectiveness
- Develop and deliver board training and development programs
- Develop and implement board succession planning processes
- Provide guidance on board composition, and own the rigorous selection process of the best candidates for vacant board roles
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate governance, board development, talent management, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with board members and executive management
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people and build consensus
- Deep understanding of corporate governance principles and practices
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and practices
- Willing to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
