Jefferies Credit Partners (JCP) is the investment management division of Jefferies Finance, a joint venture group owned equally by Jefferies Group and MassMutual. Jefferies Finance is a leading underwriter and arranger of leveraged credit, ranked #1 for several years in a row in US LBO financings. JCP has a seasoned team of highly experienced investment professionals with relationships across the world's leading investment firms and financial institutions that provide custom financial solutions to its clients.


Growing quickly, JCP currently manages over $14bn of proprietary and third-party capital and offers investors access to private credit opportunities sourced exclusively through Jefferies and managed by a cycle-tested investment team. Bringing a 17-year track record, JCP currently has a mid-cap private credit offering, which focuses on companies with $15mm to $75mm of EBITDA, and a large-cap private credit offering, which focuses on companies with $75mm or greater EBITDA. In addition to the private credit groups, JCP manages a leading CLO management business. Performance has been strong across all offerings. To achieve their ambitious growth goals, JCP is selectively adding to their world-class distribution effort.


Description:

Jefferies Credit Partners is looking to hire a senior capital-raising professional to take a lead role in institutional coverage in Canada. This person will be responsible for engaging LPs and driving the sales process with these allocators, and he/she will raise capital for the firm’s full suite of investment offerings. JCP has been highly successful in raising capital during the relatively short time that the firm has had a dedicated sales effort, and this person will have a great deal of white space to continue to penetrate institutional allocators on the firm’s behalf.


This person will be responsible for truly building an institutional LP base on behalf of the firm in this region. He/she will be asked to create and execute on a strategic coverage plan, and the sales process will entail a great deal of work to create awareness, develop relationships and ultimately raise assets from these LPs. Although JCP might be regarded as a newer name to the LP community in private debt, the firm has massive capabilities, a highly developed infrastructure, and a very strong performance track record that this capital-raising professional will be able to leverage with LPs. The right hire into this role should be highly energized to be in a position where he/she can both establish brand recognition and also, ideally, be highly productive from a capital-raising perspective from this LP base.


This is a highly visible team within the JCP. JCP has significant expansion plans in its sights and offers the new team unlimited potential to help drive the growth on a dynamic platform that operates with significant competitive advantages.


Qualifications:

· At least 8-12 years of total experience

· Relevant Marketing/Investor Relations experience on a leading platform

· Significant Direct Lending/Private Debt product knowledge is ideal

· Strong track record of developing, growing, and converting relationships

· Deep understanding of LPs and the way in which these entities invest and select managers

· Highly organized and process-driven approach to the sales process

· Exceptional time management and prioritization skills

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across client organizations

· Inclusive and disciplined management style



The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000.
