Position Summary:
The Director of Sales – Natural, Nutritional, Drug is responsible for leading distributor and direct sales and executional engagement / planning within the channel, to support retail strategy. Directing business with both existing and pipeline acquisition customers will be key to success. The Director will have a strong pulse on their key accounts, channel trends, go to market strategy and execution of in store execution and key KPI’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to trade shows, meetings, and market visits to build new and existing distributor relationships
- Partner with Director of Distribution to align on a channel distribution strategy that maximizes ease of doing business with Charlotte’s Web, while reducing route to market costs
- Lead and Develop our Independent Natural / Nutritional Sales Manager to execute channel strategy at retail. Is a player/coach for developing this business and individual
- Provide key details related to products in distribution, store count, price, discount rates, timing to TPM Sales Analyst monthly to ensure forecasting in TPM is able to be done in an accurate and timely manner – reducing potential for OOS and Write Offs
- Can work through and solve complex problems within the scope of your customers
- Solves problems independently and provides a point of view on the solution grounded in facts and analysis
- Support retail customers growth strategy with direct and distributor go to market models that are able to successfully execute the channel strategy
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Leads communication and strategy for our national broker network to ensure proper communication is received for timely execution at retail
- Effectively develops customer promotional calendars and tactics, selling materials and direction to external stakeholders working a minimum of 90 days out to enable execution (inside sales, broker, distributors)
- Ensure that product, price and promotion strategy of chain accounts is reflected at retail within the channel
- Leverage data, insights and trust to drive data based decision with key customers and decision makers across the channel
- Update and expand new business Pipeline with specific details around product assortment, load in quantities and ongoing order patterns to ensure organization has latest information
Education and Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Cross-Functional and / or Retail experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
- At least 5 years’ sales experience across CPG with relevant knowledge
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
- Experience managing CPG account execution, as well as sales analysis and business planning
- Excellent negotiation and category selling skills
Compensation:
$140,000.00-$160,000.00
