Job Summary:
As the Director of Retail Sales, you will be responsible for leading and driving the retail sales strategy for our company. You will oversee the development and execution of sales plans to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with retail partners. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in driving sales growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive retail sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of retail sales managers and representatives, providing guidance, support, and training to maximize their performance and productivity.
- Set ambitious sales targets and KPIs, regularly monitoring performance and providing feedback to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's retail presence, including new store openings, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective retail marketing campaigns and promotions that drive foot traffic and increase sales.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Analyze sales data and market insights to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans to optimize sales performance.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics.
- Develop and manage the retail sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, retail sales techniques, and emerging trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in driving retail sales growth, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the retail industry, including understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor landscape.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to forge and maintain partnerships with retail partners.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive sales strategies and decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common objectives.

- Familiarity with sales CRM systems and other sales tools.
