As the National Head of Residential Direct Sales, you'll be responsible for leading our front line, door-to-door sales program. In this role, you’ll be answering the following questions:


  • How do we build an effective and scalable recruiting program for our direct sales team?
  • What tools should our direct sales team be leveraging that would result in step change improvements within the channel?
  • How do we improve our commission plans, incentive programs, and employee policies to set the channel up for success long term?


In short, as the owner of Residential Direct Sales, you will build on the solid foundation of our door to door program and help us take it to the next level.


Role Description


This role is on the Google Fiber Central Sales team. Our mission is to deliver abundant internet on networks that are always fast and always open with products that are easy to understand and clearly priced. On our team, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment that’s challenging the status quo in the Internet industry.


This role will oversee the GFiber Residential Direct Sales channel, also known as the door-to-door team. While the sales team reports directly up through regional teams, the Central Sales team is responsible for channel performance, strategy, planning, tools, reporting, training, and compensation/incentives.


In this role, you'll:


  • Achieve monthly sales targets by ensuring staffing levels are met, sales reps are deployed, training and development is in place, and activities/results are appropriately measured.
  • Partner in the build-out of front line policies that will protect, align, and grow our reps and business.
  • Oversee and optimize the commission plans and incentive programs that drive rep behavior in the field.
  • Own and improve our residential direct sales strategy, partnering with local management to drive execution and results.


At a minimum we'd like you to have:


  • 10+ years of sales management experience, with proven track record of improving performance and achieving business targets
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and in executing strategies.
  • 5+ years of leading direct door to door sales teams at scale
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.


It's preferred if you have:


  • MBA degree or equivalent practical work experience.
  • Sales management experience in Telecom or similar industry
  • Ability to provide executive level readouts on project plans, channel metrics and performance.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $221,000- $304,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
