We are seeking a dynamic consultant to join our team for a 3-6 month engagement, with the exciting possibility of transitioning into a full-time role as the acting Director of eCommerce and Marketing. As a forward-thinking eCommerce and Digital Marketing expert, the ideal candidate should possess a track record of orchestrating successful multichannel marketing campaigns. In this role, you will assume responsibility for driving our e-commerce and marketing endeavors, encompassing Shopify maintenance, website enhancement, UX optimization, fostering online community relationships, managing paid search and SEO, as well as coordinating in-store events and promotions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and articulate a comprehensive marketing strategy, implementing and overseeing its execution, and effectively communicating program outcomes.
Direct the eCommerce team's activities, overseeing daily operations, sales performance, site maintenance, and delivering actionable insights.
Formulate strategies to significantly enhance website traffic, conversion rates, revenue, and profitability, leveraging data-driven insights and A/B testing.
Curate and execute a dynamic web marketing calendar, aligning with sales, site updates, promotions, and marketing communications.
Craft effective online product merchandising strategies that amplify user experience and engagement.
Identify and explore innovative eCommerce opportunities beyond current conventions, keeping pace with industry trends.
Create and implement a robust brand strategy, ensuring consistent and high-quality marketing communications.
Devise and execute marketing campaigns aimed at driving conversions both online and in-store, encompassing social media ad campaigns, PPC, email marketing, and promotions.
Collaborate closely with in-store managers, the CEO, and the online team to design e-marketing campaigns that drive impactful conversions.
Identify and propose new brand-appropriate opportunities that align with our values and objectives.
Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness and engagement of marketing campaigns.
Direct social media content across various channels, fostering community engagement and driving sales.
Identify and engage with relevant social media influencers and partners.
Continuously analyze social media content to enhance customer engagement and bolster brand recognition.
Remain well-informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media developments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
Over 5 years of experience in leadership roles within eCommerce marketing, with a demonstrated track record of implementing impactful B2C initiatives. Background in fashion or luxury industries preferred.
Proven expertise in managing Google AdWords, Instagram, and Facebook ad campaigns, as well as leveraging email marketing and other social platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Proficiency in using analytics tools, particularly Google Analytics.
Strong business acumen, capable of identifying and prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
In-depth understanding of marketing and social media landscapes, including best practices and metrics.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate ideas into captivating social media content.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both individually and within a team setting.
Meticulous organizational abilities, capable of juggling multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) and G Suite.
Strong experience with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, is a plus.
