Director Of Financial Operations

About the role:

The Director of Financial Operations will strengthen a high growth global financial technology company’s financial operations team. This role reports up to the VP of Financial Operations. The role has supervisory responsibilities for three to five Fin Ops professionals.

In addition to duties associated with global daily settlement and reconciliation in multiple currencies, the role has added responsibilities to support Treasury Services, Business Continuity Planning, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Performing control assessments implementation, and monitoring.
• Data analysis for both global settlement and global treasury functions.
• Working with the various business units to enhance processes.
• Maximizing returns and minimizing risk with respect to FX.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for on-boarding new Partners and Banks
• Draft, monitor and implement changes to various proprietary financial operations tools.
• Prepare, maintain, and execute effective Business Continuity Plans.
• Participating in annual and ad-hoc audits, both internal and external.
• Demonstrate leadership, team building and the ability to cross-train team members.
• Develop tools to effectively report and reconcile all global settlement activity

Requirements:

• Ability to interface with IT and functional business units to draft, monitor, and implement changes to financial operations tools.

• Proficiency in complex problem solving and data analysis
• Demonstrated skills in designing and executing internal controls and process changes.
• Superior spreadsheet, database skills, MS Office, SQL and data warehousing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field required with Information Systems experience, MBA preferred. Experience in lieu of degree.
• Supervisory experience in a high-volume operational environment required.
• 5+ years in a fast-paced payment processing environment or a high-volume transaction processing environment
