Job Title: Director of Financial Reporting(Onsite)

Qualifications:5

· 10 years of Accounting experience with progression into leadership responsibility

· 2+ years of Financial Reporting experience within the Financial/Insurance industry that includes public audit and internal controls experience

· Experience working for at least 1 of the Big 4 Accounting firms (KPMG, Deloitte, EY-Ernst & Young, PwC-PricewaterhouseCoopers), on large audits with external auditors engaged

· CPA or similar certification is highly preferred (the ability to verify testing progress and/or active enrollment in courses toward certification will also be considered)

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

Responsibilities

· Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the timely completion of annual audits

· Apply public audit experience to assess internal controls, identify potential risks, and recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of financial reporting procedures

· Develop and implement process improvements, and internal control enhancements to streamline financial reporting and strengthen the control environment

· Prepare and analyze periodic financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP), and other applicable regulations

· Assess the effectiveness of the financial reporting procedures and identify areas of improvement

· Oversee the quality and accuracy of responses to audit inquiries with the goal to reduce follow up requests

· Ensure both accuracy and completeness of financial data
