Job Description

We are seeking to immediately hire a Director of Operations to lead the North American distribution hub for a global manufacturing company that is experiencing rapid growth towards becoming the industry leader in the coming years.


Job Summary: The Ops Director will be responsible for driving the multichannel quarterly/annual financial strategy based on detailed knowledge of business insights and analytics, market trends, and demographic profiles across all regions. You will evaluate the assortment and react to in-season demand as Head of Supply Chain.

This is a dynamic role to drive, challenge, and improve our existing systems and processes in order to create a best-in-class procurement function, supporting a fast-growing company. This role is responsible for working with stakeholders across the business to ensure business requirements are properly defined and evaluated holistically across our organization.

This includes everything from warehouse management, purchasing materials, logistics and sourcing suppliers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Process invoices specific to shipping and logistics and manages inventory returns and damaged goods.
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes within North America with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
  • Forecast and order products and parts based on feedback from the sales, account rep. and warranty teams, and customers to ensure that the right product is in the warehouse at any given time.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.


Qualifications:

  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal) Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building with Senior Management level Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field required (Master's degree a plus)
  • 5-7 years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required. 10+ years preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experienced thriving in a metrics driven work environment with track record of achieving targets & deliverables consistently
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Superior knowledge of supply chain (domestic and international) with track record of balancing various customer demands and revenue, quality, and costumer satisfaction criteria.
