WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
Working in direct collaboration with the CMO and Revenue Marketing Team, build a technology-enabled precision marketing environment, guiding the global investment in marketing and sales development toward world-class strategy and execution.
- Define the vision for marketing operations at Nitrogen.
- This role has a front-row seat at the go-to-market-strategy table. Evaluate the effectiveness of current marketing and sales development strategy, using data to guide improvement from the strategy level down to the people and process layer.
- Own the revenue marketing budget, administering our investment for the greatest impact on pipeline creation and downstream ARR.
- Evaluate the marketing and sales development tech stack in search of innovation and competitive advantage. Own the relationships with vendors, selection, deployment and integration processes. Represent marketing and sales development as the bridge to our greater revenue operations team.
- Operationalize our revenue generation funnel in the technology and daily processes of marketing and sales development from the first wisp of interest on a search engine to pipeline creation and customer expansion.
- Build a rich window into the success of our investment in marketing, creating the kind of reporting you would personally need to make decisions about the ROI of programs and initiatives.
- Ensures marketing data is properly collected and connected with other systems, find new ways to enrich the marketing data set, regularly cleanse data, and maintain best practices around marketing and data privacy.
- Partner with our sales development leadership to develop an ever-smarter lead scoring methodology, responsive lead assignment system and pipeline dispatch strategy.
- Evaluate demand generation talent, enabling us to continually improve the caliber of our revenue marketing team, mentoring teams on optimal systems usage.
Requirements
- 5+ year track record of successfully guiding the marketing operations mandate in an enterprise software/SaaS environment.
- A strong leadership presence and experience driving process and technology change across multiple teams.
- Proven experience selecting, integrating and optimizing a modern marketing technology stack with specific exposure to: Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Marketo, LeanData, Bizable, Salesloft, MadKudu and related systems.
- Masterful project management skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communications skills, the ability to generate instant understanding of complex concepts and persuade a room to move forward with a key initiative

- IDEAL: Strong team leadership skills across operational sub-disciplines including analysis, Salesforce.com development, database stewardship, campaign deployment and list management.
- IDEAL: Experience actually driving the demand generation or digital marketing program in a SaaS environment. You have walked a mile in the shoes of the revenue marketing team.
As an employer, we are committed to providing competitive compensation in alignment with the value, experience, and skillset our employees bring to their role. The expected compensation range for this role is $120k -$140k. Lesser experience may result in lower compensation and greater experience may result in greater compensation than the stated range.
