The Director of Warehouse Operations manages the day-to-day warehouse resources, communications, facilities and operations of more than 2 million square feet of warehouse space across the country. Under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, work directly with operations, sales, accounting, IT, customers, and other stakeholders to provide solid processes and operations of our warehousing resources by using and deploying a real-time warehouse management monitoring system. This role is accountable for profit and loss for the facilities along with driving improvement across multiple KPI’s.

The Ideal Candidate will Possess
- Has a strong general business experience with P&L responsibility
- Is a detail-oriented problem solver with a proven track record of optimizing operations processes
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- A concern for precision and thoroughness
- Experience managing sub-contracted logistics service providers including freight forwarders
- Has experience creating organizational processes and implementing them
- A proven track record of being an effective leader in a fast-paced, high-volume organization
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Active experience with participation as an operational leader with extensive warehouse operations experience

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise warehouse personnel and set direction and initiatives for process improvements.
- Standardize procedures across all facilities.
- Manage the company’s overall shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and warehouse maintenance functions.
- Be primary liaison with our warehouse customer’s.
- Act as General Manager for our Warehousing Division.
- Accountable for budget and P&L of the Warehouse Division.
- Ensure accurate inventory data across all systems including IMS/ERP, 3PL portals, etc.
- Responsible for overseeing OSHA and safety compliance.
- Audit, evaluate and negotiate operational expenses to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
- Implement a continuous improvement mentality to find time and cost efficiencies to better serve our customer’s needs.
- Responsible for getting exact costs and quotes to customers.
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Manage and deploy WMS across multiple facilities.
- Interface with other departments to increase efficiencies and foster teamwork.
- Recruiting and hiring new workers while also overseeing the activities of staff to ensure that operations flow smoothly.
Qualifications:
- A “roll-up” your sleeves leader with the ability to collaborate, interact and communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of standard technical systems including WMS and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain or other related
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent team-building and coaching skills.
- Proven track record of being an effective leader in a fast-paced, high-volume organization.
- Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- 10+ years of prior warehouse / transportation operations experience working within a large warehouse and / or transportation facility.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
- Strong values and a bias for action in decision-making.
- 7+ years of leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience managing forklifts.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.

Pay: $58,368.68 – $182,085.04 per year
