Director of Operations

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Operations serves as a top level director with the overall responsibility for the operations of all 38 restaurants including quality, service, inventory, sanitation, and sales.This position directs the recruitment, retention, and development of the entire restaurant management team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·Directs and manages overall operations of restaurants through district supervisors, on-site visits and analysis reports.Ensures that all store units achieve financial commitments and guest satisfaction standards.

·Provides strategic and tactical guidance on developing restaurant operations, standards and guidelines including service, product preparation, sales, guest relations, safety/security, marketing, and development of general managers.

·Ensures direct reports perform all necessary administrative and accounting duties promptly and properly.This includes preparing/overseeing and submitting of accurate daily/weekly/monthly paperwork, ensuring cash handling procedures, maintaining and controlling of restaurant assets, maintaining food and beverage inventory, complying with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines, adhering to the restaurant operating budget, and managing service contracts.

·Review and monitors capital expenditures for each restaurant.

·Analyzes systems and procedures for continual improvement of earning goals.Provides strategic direction for sales, operations and promotions.

·Supervises manpower, i.e., hiring, assignment, training, motivation, evaluation, promotions, discipline, and termination of restaurant management personnel.Responsible for multi-unit supervisors’ development, evaluation, training and discipline.

·Build a collaborative relationship and alignment with the company's senior leadership team.

·Proactive, hands-on approach and high visibility to engage and communicate with operations while promoting a culture of pride, success, and fun.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field5 years progressive, multi-unit restaurant management

Certifications or Licensure Requirements:

·Valid driver’s license; be able to legally operate a vehicle to and from restaurant sites.

·Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

·Proven leadership ability and successful training skills

·Highly motivated with ability to manage multiple projects

·Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·Work flexible schedule to include after hours, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·Frequent–externally imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position.

·Exposure to some risk of injury or physical harm from on-site environments and a moderate degree of discomfort from year round weather conditions.

·Job frequently requires sitting, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.

·Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds.

·Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

We have locations in Central and South Texas from Bryan/College Station to Yorktown, Texas. The candidate can live anywhere within these areas and will be expected to drive to locations daily.
