Summary/Objective


The Director of Operations for Ranch Hand obtains profit contribution by managing staff, establishing, and accomplishing business objectives for multiple locations. Provide leadership and motivation to direct reports in manufacturing system that emphasizes safety, quality, customer satisfaction, accuracy, productivity, cost reduction, housekeeping, efficiency, training, teamwork, and morale.

Competencies


  • Proficient with MRP, demand planning, theory constraints planning.
  • Experienced with planning for make to stock & make to order environment.
  • Strong background in building and developing high performing teams
  • Quality Management (ISO 9001 required & IATF 16949 a plus)
  • Financial Planning and Strategy
  • Coaching of leaders & team members to achieve business goals.
  • Developing Standards
  • Proficient in steel fabrication (tube & plate cutting and bending, weld and powder coat)

Supervisory Responsibility


This position has supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job in the production environment the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The team member is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. In the office environment, primarily working indoors, may sit for several hours at a time, prolonged exposure to computer screens, use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, time depends on production demands.


Travel


Ability to travel is required.


Required Education And Experience


  • 10+ Management/Leadership experience.
  • 10+ Manufacturing/industry experience in steel fabrication & weld (mig)
  • Bachelor’s degree


Preferred Education And Experience


Six sigma green or black belt


MAPICS/XA experience


Work Authorization/Security Clearance


Must be able to pass EVerify.
