Director Of Marketing Operations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing Operations. You will lead our marketing operations and own the marketing tech stack in this role. Your work will impact the overall Marketing team through automation, tools, and strategic problem-solving.

What your success will look like

• Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and dashboards to present marketing performance metrics, campaign results, and trends to senior leadership.
• Leadership: Manage and mentor direct reports and marketing team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve marketing processes, workflows, and methodologies to ensure maximum efficiency and seamless collaboration across teams. Continually work to simplify systems and processes, avoiding customization bloat and over-engineered processes. Create, maintain, and share playbooks that document our workflows and create transparency into our ways of working and tech stack.
• Budget Management: Work closely with finance to manage marketing budgets, track expenditures, and allocate resources effectively to achieve optimal ROI. Understand where there is efficiency in the tech stack and clearly understand cost/benefit.
• Technology Integration: Oversee the selection, implementation, and utilization of the marketing technology stack, including marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and other tools, to enhance data-driven insights and streamline operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, revenue operations, and other relevant teams to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives, ensuring seamless communication and coordinated campaigns. Have the ability to influence peers and gain alignment.
• Performance Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and initiatives; analyze data and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.
• Operational Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive marketing operations strategy that aligns with corporate goals, focusing on driving growth, lead generation, and brand awareness.

Who you are and what you bring

• 3+ years’ experience in team management and/or team project management
• Ability to build new processes and workflows at scale
• Required knowledge of data governance best practices
• Tech Stack: Drift, Chili Piper, Marketo, Salesforce
• 7+ years' of experience with marketing automation platforms, specifically Marketo
• Marketo Certified Expert credential
• Ability to influence stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills
• SFDC certification (Salesforce certification)
• Effective time management skills
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
• Knowledge of marketing operations best practices required
