Tava Health is a venture-backed telemedicine startup that partners with employers to provide convenient, high-quality mental health care to employees and their families. At less than three years old, Tava has already partnered with dozens of forward-thinking employers and recently announced a $10M Series A.
One of the most significant roleplayers at Tava, and key to our endeavor to make therapy normal is the Director of Partnerships. We’re not just looking for a sales partner, but an evangelist who will change the narrative around mental health and make this transformation a reality.
We are looking for strategic sales leaders that can persuasively communicate the value of mental health benefits in a clear, compassionate, and concise way. We are building a team from the ground up and will need self-starting, creative, and passionate team members to join as we improve the cost, quality, and access of mental health resources to our partners and customers.

As a Director of Partnerships at Tava you will:
- Turn over every rock to discover sales leads through regular email and phone prospecting to create a healthy pipeline of opportunities
- Conduct product demos and close deals
- Open up new industries and geographic markets to expand the reach of Tava’s mission
- Strategically manage the sales process from the first contact to negotiating and closing contracts
- Become a mental health expert to consult partner companies on the value of investing in the emotional well-being of their employees
- Advocate for the customer by voicing feedback to our Product and Operations teams in order to continually refine our offerings to best meet customer needs
- Create reliable sales forecasts and strive to exceed sales targets
- Develop relationships with health insurance brokers, executives, and other decision-makers
- A natural relationship builder who is comfortable communicating with people in all positions from gatekeepers to executives
- A passionate and compassionate individual who cares deeply about improving mental healthcare and the lives of others
- A competitor with a deeply ingrained desire to succeed and the work ethic to match
- A highly organized and detail-oriented person with a knack for time management and process improvement
- A humble and down to earth person who puts the team before their ego and is open to feedback and coaching
- A crisp communicator with impressive presentation and negotiation abilities
- A perceptive listener who understands and meets client needs
- A capable entrepreneur who thrives in a startup environment
- Experience with Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management tools
- Familiarity with the health insurance landscape and selling to HR or Benefits leaders
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience
- Experience with consultative selling and The Challenger Sale model
- A proven track record of success prospecting and closing new business
