Job Description
Position Description
*This is a remote position for candidates currently residing in California.*
Job Summary
Provides leadership and facilitates the execution best in class experience of the Division Distinguished Mega Events including Impact Makers from the logistics to execution of Day of Event, as well as the growth, development and best in class customer experience of the CEO Chapters across the Division.
Major Responsibilities
  • Develops Mega Events event growth plans applying best practices, the latest technology and industry standards; monitors key performance indicators and develops contingency plans as needed
  • Creates a foundation of new volunteer leaders throughout the volunteer continuum of recruitment, retention, and recognition; builds effective volunteer leadership pipelines. >> Enables committees to focus on revenue by providing experience support -- works as retention tools for existing vols experience as well as developing pipeline of folks who have great experience and want to be involved.
  • Directly manages the logistics and overall experiences for the events to support the revenue growth
  • Provides coaching, training, skills-building and resources with a focus on event experience that attracts and retains high net worth individuals to support success of staff and volunteers who manage the Mega Events, CEO Chapters and Impact Makers across the Division
  • Leads or ensures effective stewardship of key volunteer, donor, and partner relationships
  • Drives community relevance and revenue growth through customer-centric and innovative strategies with a focus on new & diverse constituent groups
  • Responsible for growth of the CEO Chapters across the Division with Executive Leadership & Donors driving an increase of $2.5M revenue across the region
  • Identifies and validates opportunities and new concepts to increase revenue through both existing and novel activities, prioritizing concepts for scalability
  • Creates a foundation of new volunteer leaders throughout the volunteer continuum of recruitment, retention, and recognition; builds effective volunteer leadership pipelines
  • Works collaboratively with event team members sharing best practices, and collaborating across boundaries.
  • Ensures evaluation systems and key metric tracking approaches are in place to monitor innovation solutions; Leads data-driven continuous improvement
  • Develops and drives the execution of $7M+ regional revenue strategy in partnership with Division Market teams and the Division leadership team with a focus on exponential growth across our 7 Mega Events -- Gala & Golf
  • Partners with market leads and strategic leads for corporate, distinguished events and philanthropy to ensure an integrated approach
  • Coaches staff and volunteers across the Division on negotiation of services with management of budget to maximize outcomes while controlling the overall ROI
Position Requirements
Formal Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, plus 6 years fundraising experience in a large nonprofit setting. Preference for diversified income portfolio experience with a multi-million-dollar organization.

  • Able to generate accurate income projections and ROI analysis
  • Ability to create consensus among cross-functional departments and markets and bring closure to projects/initiatives.
SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Travel, including evening and weekend work required.
The starting rate is $88,000 to $130,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
