The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is the voice and advocate for the U.S. video game industry. Its members are the innovators, creators, publishers, and business leaders that are reimagining entertainment and transforming how we interact, learn, connect, and play. The ESA works to expand and protect the dynamic marketplace for video games through innovative and engaging initiatives that showcase the positive impact of video games on people, culture, and the economy.
Position Summary:
The Coordinator, Human Resources will support a diverse portfolio of HR initiatives and programs in such areas as Benefits & Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Engagement, DEI, Compliance, document management, and more. This is dynamic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the field of Human Resources and wants to take part in transformational work.
This role is part-time, about 25 hours per week, with an option for remote and/or in-office work out of our D.C. office.
Responsibilities
·Provides prompt assistance to inquiries from our employees
·Answers and screens company phone and email
·Updates benefit systems as needed per employee changes
·Downloads and reconciles benefit premiums and billing
·Collects, inputs and files employee payroll changes into relevant tracking database.
·Coordinates logistics throughout our entire recruitment process from position posting to successful onboarding
·Maintains and manages personnel files
·Maintains current job descriptions and updates internal documents, including organizational charts and personnel directories
·Assists with materials for design and implementation of KPIs for our Human Resources department
·Helps put together reports for our leadership team regarding defined metrics and general HR activities
·Assists in the ongoing collection of employee feedback
·Coordinates and schedules ongoing learning and development facilitations for our employees
·Disseminates resources, materials and recaps of ongoing meetings, workshops or learning events
·Maintains our in-office and online compliance postings
·Continuously learns, grows and keeps up-to-date with best practices in the Human Resources function
·Pays and files vendor invoicing
·Adheres to human resources budget as directed
·Supports department in expense management and reporting
·Works closely with our department on employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes
·Collaborates with departments or employees at all levels on assigned projects
·Assists in drafting employee communications
·Occasionally assists with HR-related purchases as needed
·Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·High attention to detail
·Agility with computers and office equipment
·Excellent organizational and prioritization
·Basic project management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
·Strong problem-solving skills
·Ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization
·Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel
·Independently motivated and ability to work with limited supervision
·This role can spend prolonged hours standing, walking, or sitting at a desk and may be required to lift and move objects that are 40 pounds or less.
Education and Experience:
Completed or pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Two to three years of experience supporting Human Resources required.
