The Choice Inc is a boutique staffing firm that has been in business for more than 40 years. Our clients include many of the most sought-after non-profits in Washington, DC.
We are seeking an internal Human Resources Operations Coordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning many facets of HR and can provide critical support to our recruitment processes. This is a dynamic and fast-pace role that will provide excellent customer service to our candidates and clients.
About our team: We are proud to be a women-owned and women-led company! We offer a truly supportive work culture and have a very flexible remote work policy. (Candidates must be located in immediate DC area, as some occasional in office work is required.) We have an office in DuPont Circle and would ideally like someone to start by the beginning of July 2023 or sooner to cross over without-going HR Specialist. Training will be partially in person and then the position can transition to a flexible remote.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with FMLA and documentation of exemptions for non-profits
- Help manage the weekly A/R process
- Generate and send invoices to clients on a weekly basis
- Assist with managing the various state accounts for taxes and worker’s compensation
- Ordering supplies
- Assist the President with running reports and keeping an up to date roster of all current contractors
- Manages operational projects for the company, as needed
- Oversee and manage the timesheet process for both clients and contractors
- Onboard and orient all new contractors
- Run payroll for our contractors on weekly basis
- Work with the insurance broker to manage our contractor and internal staff benefits and oversee our annual open enrollment program
- Answering the main phone line and directing calls, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Manages operational projects for the company, as needed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bachelor's degree- fields of study in HR, business administration, or accounting would be particularly aligned, but not required.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Detail-oriented
- At least one year of administrative, operations or HR professional experience preferred
- Strong computer skills. Previous database/CRM/HRIS experience a plus!
Hours are Monday-Friday 8-5
