Position summary / Main purpose of the role:
Masimo Consumer Health is a leading consumer product company specializing in advanced health monitoring wearables and hearables. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Business Development and Partnerships to join our team and drive strategic growth initiatives for our business.
Essential Responsibilities:
Business Development: Utilize your 10+ years of leadership experience in strategic partnerships and business development, specifically in consumer-facing companies in the medical and consumer electronics markets. Experience with health insurance companies, employee benefit programs, and medical services, health & wellness products, influential sporting brands/teams and technology-based health platforms are beneficial. The mandate is to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand Masimo Consumer Health's market presence and drive revenue growth.
Partnership Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key relevant partners for strategic brand and revenue positive initiatives. Close partnerships with early stage and mature companies, and develop bespoke contracts for new service offerings, co-branding and/or licensing opportunities.
Strategic Planning: Leverage your strong analytical capabilities to assess partner and customer opportunities, understand operating and financial metrics, and provide a solid strategic perspective, business judgment, and ROI focus. Support recommendations with compelling rationale, evidence, and data to inform strategic decision-making.
Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with partners, including pricing, terms, and conditions, to ensure favorable outcomes for Masimo Consumer Health. Develop and implement bespoke contracts for new service offerings, utilizing your track record in creating customized contracts.
Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate opportunities to enter new channels, based on market research, competitive analysis, and go-to-market plans. Drive market expansion strategies in both early stage and mature channels, including partnerships with insurance companies, hospital systems, employee benefit programs, and technology-based health platforms.
Performance Measurement: Develop and implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor the success of business development and partnership initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities, utilizing your strong analytical capabilities.
Team Leadership: Demonstrate great people management and development skills, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Confidently present to large and small groups with your clear and convincing communication style.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing.
· Minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience in strategic partnerships and business development, specifically with consumer-facing companies in the payments and financial services markets, insurance companies, employee benefit programs, and technology-based health platforms.
· Proven track record of closing partnerships in developed and developing countries, with both early stage and mature companies.
· Strong analytical capabilities in assessing market and customer opportunities, understanding operating and financial metrics.
· Solid strategic perspective, business judgment, and ROI focus, with the ability to support recommendations with compelling rationale, evidence, and data.
· Engaging and highly credible presence and style, with clear and convincing communication skills for presenting to large and small groups, including C-level executives.
· Proven team-player with a reputation for great people management and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
· MBA or other advanced degree.
