Who You Are:


Figure 8 is looking for a Business Operations & Development Manager with a business, finance or similar background to join our team. In this role, you will need to have a proven track record of supporting strategic planning, business operations and development, and data management to support financial analysis and insights reporting that will help drive company improvement. This role will report into the VP of Growth and Revenue based in Singapore, flexible hours are necessary for management meetings.


Your Day-to-Day:


  • Handle ad hoc projects while prioritizing competing needs and managing constant interruptions
  • Provide partnership and support across business and related events, as well as personal aspects
  • Lead the development and implementation of business development strategies, including sales and marketing initiatives
  • Decision Support: Provide analysis, research, and recommendations on critical business issues to support decision-making by the executive
  • This includes managing all calendar and related tasks, ensuring the short and long term priorities and business needs are being met in a timely and effective manner
  • Oversee project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Operations and Project Management: Oversee and manage key operational processes and projects, ensuring efficient execution and delivery. Coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor progress, and identify and address potential issues
  • Prepare and submit weekly expense reports for the business and personal accounts, purchase order and other financial items
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential markets to expand the company's reach and revenue streams
  • Prioritisation and Time Management: Manage the VP of Revenue and Growth's calendar, appointments, and priorities, ensuring optimal use of time and attention on key strategic areas
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring discretion in handling confidential matters and discussions
  • Communication and Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact and facilitate communication between the executive and internal/external stakeholders, including senior leadership, board members, clients, and partners
  • This includes operational efficiency by streamlining and optimising business processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • This includes working in a one-on-one relationship and serve as the primary point of contact for all business and personal duties for the VP of Revenue and Growth, including interacting with executives and the wider Company
  • Interim responsibility: Ensure ordering and forecasting for supply chain is on track, as well as transition over to 3PL is done, whilst we are in the process of hiring for a full time supply chain manager
  • Handle all travel, including the planning and coordinate international & domestic travel logistics, including flight itineraries, hotel rates & reservations and car services following personal travel preferences
  • This includes building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Assist the VP of Growth & Revenue in developing and implementing strategic plans, initiatives, and goals for the organization. Help ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational activities
  • Organizational Alignment: Foster alignment and collaboration across departments and teams, promoting a cohesive and unified approach to achieving organizational objectives


The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 USD dependent on location and experience


Requirements


The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:


  • Effective leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive work culture and motivating team members
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making
  • Business/Finance degree
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and financial analysis software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring inventory records and reports are maintained meticulously
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of proven work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
