Successful and growing Long Island-based aircraft management and aviation charter company seeks a strong salesperson with a proven track record in generating Retail Charter and Aircraft management clients. Aviation charter retail industry sales experience is required; wholesale charter sales experience is a plus. This individual should possess these qualities:
Key Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Conflict resolution and creative problem solving.
- Outstanding organizational and account management skills.
- Tech-savvy. Must be proficiency in Excel.
- Established book of business, consisting of high-net-worth individuals able to convert into retail charter and aircraft management opportunities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Great relationship management skills and follow up.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of the private aviation market, retail charter, and aircraft owner network and competitive landscape.
- Ability to quickly handle inbound sales requests and effectively convert into sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of private aircraft equipment, aviation industry and FAA Part 135 guidelines.
- Must be able to: close deals in a fast-paced environment; and identify and prioritize potential deals with a focus on in-fleet utilization.
- Ability to generate strong retail charter sales and build client base of aircraft owners for both Part 135 and Part 91 aircraft management.
- Provide coverage for wholesale charter sales, when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Part 135 private aviation charter, specifically in retail charter and aircraft management. Other industries will not be considered.
- Knowledge and working relationships with Part 135 Operators, VIP travel companies and corporate flight departments.
- The ability to effectively identify the best suited aircraft from Argus Platinum-rated fleet.
- The ability to manage a large network of high-profile clients and to market our fleet.
- Proficient in aircraft operator quoting systems such as Jet Insight (preferred), FOS or related programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in aviation, business, or related field.
Position Preferred Location: NY tri-state area
Salary plus commission/bonuses
Salary is based on existing book of retail charter business, proven sales ability, and experience.
