Job Description
Brightcore Energy provides end-to-end energy efficiency and clean energy measures to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Summary/Primary Role:


This role works primarily in a client facing business development activities to increase Brightcore Energy's market reach and opportunity pipeline. Brightcore is looking for an experienced clean energy business development resource that has a clear track record of success in developing strong client relationships and managing and closing a pipeline of activity. Geographic responsibilities include a focus on market activity that is headquartered in the Northeast and MidAtlantic regions. This role is responsible for qualifying, proposing, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities within the Geothermal, Solar, and Lighting verticals.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Meet and engage with internal team members in project management, operational support and field/onsite execution members to mobilize formal handoff to the operational team.
  • Manage the sales process following the initial introduction to the client. Work across the organization to facilitate education, feasibility studies, pricing, and any other tasks required to get a signed contract.
  • Meet with Vice President, Business Development on a weekly basis to review pipeline, client activities and results of prospecting goals for the month.
  • In partnership with the Vice President, Business Development, meet or exceed individual and company sales plan targets for revenue in key applications in Lighting, Solar, EV Charging, Storage, and Geothermal activity.
  • Work with Brightcore product support and analysts to tailor proposals to exceed client expectations for financial, operational, and sustainability objectives on projects.
  • Partner with business research analyst to fuel prospecting in the market through social media, digital campaigns, and direct outreach.
  • Update all client facing activity in Brightcore CRM to reflect all active opportunities by maturity stage and value to provide a weighted view of activity.


Qualifications:


  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • 5+ years of work experience in client facing roles in energy efficiency and renewable energy.
  • Relentless passion to enable clients to achieve their energy efficiency and sustainability objectives
  • Effective client relationship development skills that enable a clear path to key decision makers.
  • Driven to focus on meeting personal business growth objectives.
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to an entrepreneurial team.
  • A successful approach to client relationship management.
  • Local knowledge that enhances an intentional approach to targeted vertical markets.
  • Ability to master complex selling environment to address multiple influences and identify key client business requirements.
  • Experience and understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability solutions in the commercial, institutional, or industrial markets.
  • Personal & professional interest in furthering a clean energy future.
  • Strong teamwork skills that enable multiple disciplines across Brightcore to work seamlessly to achieve the desired client outcome.
  • Understand key building systems and renewable energy space.


Supervisory Responsibility:


This position has supervisory responsibility.


Expected Hours of Work:


An employee of Brightcore must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled.


Travel Requirements:


  • Travel Required up to 10% within the Northeast.
