Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Revenue. The Associate, Revenue will focus on the revenue and receivable function within the Finance Department. This will require working knowledge or a willingness to learn non-profit revenue accounting. The Associate, Revenue will be responsible for recording all monetary contribution revenue according to non-profit accounting standards, including cash, checks, wires/ACHs, stocks, cryptocurrencies, etc.
Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to TR’s Sr. Director of Finance and is based out of TR’s National Headquarters in Los Angeles.
Duties:
- Assist the Development Team with any grant proposal and grant reporting needs, including preparing P&L spreadsheets and providing actual results as required
- Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard cash and other assets
- Collaborate with finance management and operational stakeholders as needed to ensure proper accounting treatment is applied to unique situations
- Manage monthly reconciliations to ensure the accounting system (SR) and donor database (MCRM) are in sync and updated for any changes
- Responsible for depositing all checks from donors and vendors (scanning electronically)
- Identify, develop, and update TR accounting procedures and organizational standard operating procedures as necessary
- Leading and managing month-end/year-end close processes (including preparing and recording all journal entries for revenue-related transactions)
- Assist with recording all non-monetary contributions (gift in kind)
- Record banking and investment activity and manage reconciliations
- Track and monitor all donation receivable accounts and follow up as needed
- Assist with annual financial audit process and year-end 990 preparation
- Ongoing collaboration with the Development Team to ensure the data recorded in their donor database (MCRM) is correctly coded and updated
Experience and Background:
- CRM experience preferred
- 1 - 3 years accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Accounting software experience (Microsoft Business Central or similar preferred)
- Excel proficiency preferred ( i.e. VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables)
Special Requirements:
- This is full-time; in-office and based out of Los Angeles, CA, and offers a 4/1 hybrid work schedule where employees can opt to work from home one day a week determined by team collaboration and business needs (relocation expenses not provided).

- $53,471 - $80,206 per year
