Job Title: Sr. CAD Design Engineer
Job Location: Oxnard, CA - Onsite
Salary Range: $90,000-$160,000/yr based on experience

What You Will Be Doing

• Define layout rule definitions and align them to manufacturing capabilities
• Create certificates of conformance for designs.
• Generate release packages for PCBs including 3D models and ICT test point definition
• Work with 3D models to design or redesign
• Investigate failures of existing designs by collecting and analyzing data and develop pathways for failure mitigation and redesign
• Enclosure/housing design
• Improve workflow by conducting analysis, implementing changes or create policies and procedures and maintain them
• Create board layout design using Altium and Pads
• Create and manage design from product definition to released product with minimal external input
• Mechanical modeling
• Lead all aspects of the PCB enclosure design process
• Use design software such as SolidWorks to design PCB enclosures (Type: sheet metal, machine, die-cast, plastic injection mold)

What You Need for this Position
Must Have Skills

• Must be active CAD (layout) designer
• Experience reading part specifications and determining footprint compatibility with PCB fabrication processes
• Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university- preferrably a major in Engineering
• 5+ years of SolidWorks experience
• Working knowledge of PCB standards including; IPC 7351B, IPC-D-275, IPC-2221A, IPC-7351B, IPC-D-310, IPC-325, ANSI Y14.44, ANSI Y32.1, ANSI Y14.5
• 10+ years of board level design experience
• 10+ years of experience in PCB design using Altium or Pads
• Experience reading schematics
