Administrative Assistant Hand And Upper Extremity Division

Job Summary: 50/50 position that supports one NP and also supports the practice. Performs secretarial duties for the Hand and Upper Extremity Division including but not limited to; scheduling appointments and relaying messages via Epic EMR, preparing charts, scanning and faxing in a fast paced environment. Works closely with NP, patients, nursing staff, secretarial team and management to facilitate effective communication among all parties. Utilizes knowledge of medical processes and office procedures at all times. Works closely with Supervisor and Secretarial Team to ensure divisional coverage. Provides direct support to a NP in the Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity Division. Provides practice support which includes switchboard coverage intermittently, scanning for all divisions and phone coverage. Other duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
