Position Overview: As the Vice President of R&D for Neuromodulation Devices, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the research and development activities related to our portfolio of neuromodulation products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide strategic direction, foster innovation, and ensure the successful execution of product development initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of neuromodulation technology and making a significant impact on patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clinical experts, academic institutions, and external partners to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the R&D department, promoting continuous learning and development of team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neuromodulation technologies, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of novel neuromodulation products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage the R&D budget, allocate resources effectively, and provide regular updates to executive leadership on project status, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing R&D teams, delivering innovative products, and driving results in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and influence key stakeholders.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in research and development, with a focus on medical devices or related fields. Prior experience in neuromodulation devices is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and translate customer needs into actionable R&D strategies.
- Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- Deep knowledge of neuromodulation technologies, including implantable devices, stimulation techniques, and related therapeutic applications.
- Strong understanding of the medical device development process, including design control, verification, validation, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO).
