Construction Operations Manager - R&D

What To Expect
As a Construction Operations Manager, you will lead high-performing teams on company critical projects working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with end users, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering while ensuring your teams deliver projects under schedule and under budget.
What You’ll Do

• Promote a safe and quality-driven culture, both project and company-wide
• Foster an innovative environment amongst your team and those within the EPC group to help Tesla accelerate succeed in accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy
• Ensure on-time, or ahead-of-time delivery of construction projects, enabling your teams to solve problems and prioritize execution
• Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry
• Provide the best product for your respective project’s customer or end users, keeping projects moving forward and fixing concerns as they arise
• Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary
• Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals
• Successfully deliver large, design-build, and self-performed construction projects
• Provide strategic input into the construction organization, setting your teams future up for growth and success

What You’ll Bring

• Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and a willingness to continuously learn
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling, project planning, and project finance
• Advanced knowledge and proven delivery of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Life Safety, and Controls scopes
• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields, or the equivalent in experience
• Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
• 9+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution
• Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your times through challenging projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are a must
• Evidence of exceptional ability
• Capacity to work long hours on demanding projects in high-stress environments

Expected Compensation
$92,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
