Summary
Create Music Group is currently looking for a A&R Assistant to join our Publishing department. This position is responsible for supporting the SVP of A&R, Publishing with all aspects of the signing and A&R administration process. This role requires strong client services skills, as well as a strong understanding of the music-making process.
Responsibilities

• Assemble copy and credits for album releases
• A&R Research/Lead Generation
• Utilize online tools to research and analyze data on signed and unsigned artists
• Compile, manage and keep track of all music materials for future releases
• May be responsible for other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work/internship experience or education in music publishing administration and/or A&R
• Ability to conduct basic level research
• Excellent time management skills
• General knowledge of key industry players and familiarity with all music
• Knowledge of internet culture and social media platforms, especially YouTube
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working with digital audio workstations (FL Studio, Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools)
• Experience working with collections societies (ASCAP, BMI, Harry Fox, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Ability to organize large amounts of data efficiently
• Proficiency with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps
• Handle confidential matters appropriately and with discretion
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Experience with Label Engine or other music distribution services (Distrokid, Tunecore, CD Baby, etc)
• Strong client services skills and ability to maintain and build relationships
• Experience with data management systems
• Strong understanding of recording, production, and creative side of the business

Pay Scale

• $17.00 - $20.00/hour
