Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode which enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.
Summary
A R&D Technician will join our Product Team of technicians, engineers, and scientists to conduct all R&D experiments including electrode evaluation, cell assembly and cell test. The candidate must be reliable and able to communicate with engineers to conduct the projects as requested.
Job Responsibilities

• Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
• Measure materials with micrometer, mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper
• Assemble components into a physically complete cell
• Use small equipment and hand tools to produce components and battery cells.
• Input data into quality management software
• Operate large equipment safely and efficiently

• Clear written and verbal skills to communicate your observations and ideas and collaborate with colleagues to tackle technical challenges.
• Ability to perform work in cleanroom, dry room, or fume hood that requires the use of fine motor skills for extended periods of time, standing, reaching, and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Strong work ethic, highly accountable, and good communications skills

Required Education And Experience

• U.S. work authorization is required.
• At least one year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Move items up to 20 lbs.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.

Schedule:

• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fremont, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred). This is an on-site job.

Salary: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
