WHAT DOES THE VP, CREATIVE SERVICES OPERATIONS LEADER DO?

The VP, Creative Services Operations, is responsible for production execution, customer relationships and operational excellence across our Creative Services business. The VP Creative Services Operations plays a crucial role in managing the operational aspects of this ~$10MM business, driving efficiency, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative projects and services by ensuring our teams are well-trained, have sufficient tools to execute and our workflows are efficient and scalable. In this broad and highly impactful role you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity
  • Developing strong relationships with customers to understand their needs, establish trust, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with finance and budgeting teams to develop and manage budgets, monitoring expenses, optimizing resource allocation, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Cross-functionally collaborating with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product, to align strategies, coordinate efforts, and ensure seamless integration of creative services within the overall organizational framework
  • Overseeing the operational aspects of the business, ensuring smooth workflows, resource allocation, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Managing the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology, to ensure optimal utilization and effective delivery of creative services projects
  • Providing leadership and guidance to a team of ~35 FTEs, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to support the overall business objectives


This role reports to the SVP of Marketing & Creative Services Operations, with a strong matrixed reporting relationship to our SVP, Growth and Product Management Leader.


A typical week may look like this:

  • Monday – Working with finance to finalize the budget for the coming year, assessing financial goals, estimating revenue and expenses, analyzing historical data and market trends, and making strategic decisions to allocate resources effectively
  • Tuesday – Supporting a new business development opportunity, building out a cost estimate and supplemental details that speak to the value of working with Kodi Collective
  • Wednesday – Researching a new technology solution to drive automation and efficiency and building the business case to gain CapEx investment approvals
  • Thursday – Lead a working session with sales and legal reviewing an MSA and SOW to address key terms and proactively work through sticking points
  • Friday – Meet with a Senior Director level employee to address performance issues that are impacting customer satisfaction and affecting team morale


WHO ARE YOU?

  • You are comfortable with data and presenting it to a crowd, be it presenting financial results to the leadership team or operational metrics to your employees
  • You are adaptable and open to change in a dynamic and fast-paced industry, embracing new technologies, trends, and methodologies to stay ahead of the curve and continuously improve our services

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years reviewing financial metrics, account profitability, and discussions with senior finance business partners
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing operations within the creative services industry
  • 10+ years negotiating commercial terms and reviewing contracts.
